FAQ
What does Mildly - Neutral - Highly Sensing fabrics stand for on The Sensing Scale?
We’ve created a measurement tool called The Sensing Scale that senses how skin-friendly our fabrics are.
Mildly Sensing fabrics are skin-friendly,
Neutral Sensing fabrics are friendlier in comparison, and
Highly Sensing fabrics are the most skin-friendly to wear.
How is Smooth & Easy T-shirt different from regular T-shirts?
At Sensing, we take into account how people may feel about their skin and their bodies. It’s why our T-shirts are versatile, breathable and allow you to move freely.
We design them to be kinder to your skin and the earth they’re going to go back in. The fabrics are pH balanced, odour neutralised and created by blending botanical plant fibers. Our T-shirts are finally tested for harmful substances and certified to be safe by OEKO-TEX (Standard 100).
How are Sensing’s smart fabrics better for my body and the planet compared to 100% cotton or linen?
Using 100% cotton or linen is not a sustainable practice. The cotton is sprayed with pesticides and requires more water to grow. The fibers are usually bleached, which reduces their elasticity and makes the garment rough, until they are then dipped in chemical softeners.
At Sensing, we use a more sustainable method to make our garments. Our plant fiber comes from self-renewing beechwood forests that are devoid of toxic chemicals. We also run ph-Balance tests on every batch of fabric to ensure they are safer for the skin and the soil.
